Can God help my friend?

Can God help my friend?

Do you have questions for God? You are not alone! Each Sunday in January, we are going to let children lead us on a journey into a line of asking questions in the name of our faith. As we travel together, we will take time to reflect on who we are, where we have been and where God is calling us to go, as individuals and as faith communities.

  • January 7 – Why is it that God chose for Jesus to be born into a poor family?
    • Matthew 25:31-45
  • January 14 – Can God change people’s minds about how they act?
    • Matthew 3:13-17
    • Human Relations Day
  • January 21 – Does God have a purpose for my life?
    • John 1:29-42
  • January 28 – Can God help my friend?
    • Mark 1:21-28

What is this sermon about?

This sermon is about the power and authority that God offers to bring healing.

Why is this sermon important?

It is important because we don’t often consider that God has shared with us power to cast out demons, darkness, and evil spirits.

What is the good news?

The good news is that God gave Jesus the power and authority to cast out demons. His authority came directly from God and this power and authority is still real today. Jesus continues to cast out demons, evil spirits, and darkness.

What are the next action steps?

You are invited to claim the power and authority from God to cast out demons and darkness in the name of Jesus Christ.
