Here’s what we have going on with our existing programs! In addition, we are starting to get a group of boys together with the intention of forming their own group during the 18-19 school year. In the meantime, we are doing some social events so the boys can get to know one another better. Our next event will be on May 18 at 4:00 and will likely involve Nerf in some capacity. It is open to boys who are entering 4th-6th grades in the fall of 2018.
Tribe 1 (4th-6th)
We are finishing our study on gender this week during small group time by looking at what it means in today’s world. During serve time, we’re going to brighten up the down town area with our sidewalk chalk masterpieces!
On Sunday mornings, we continue with Uke practice at 10 followed by practice for our skit at 10:20. We will be performing the skit on May 20, so let me know if you want in!

- Created by God, a human sexuality class, evening of June 10 and morning of June 11
- VBS July 16-20
- Camp July 30-Aug 3 (register before May 1 to get the early bird deal! Scholarships will be available)
Tribe 2 (K-3rd)
On Wednesday of this week, we’ll be walking downtown to create sidewalk chalk drawings for El Dorado residents. If you have any time, look up inspirational quotes in advance that kids can use!
On Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. (Sunday School) and 11 a.m. (Children’s Church), we’ve been learning what the early church looked like and the role that Paul, Timothy, Silas and Lydia played during that time.
Remember, Vacation Bible School is July 16-20, and we’ll be traveling around the world as we learn that God’s love is for everyone! Remember to register for camp, too, if you’re interested. We’ll be taking kids on July 2 for the overnight camp and kids July 30-Aug 3 for the week long camp. Click http://www.horizoncenter.org for more info.
Nursery
Kids will wrap up their unit on the Easter story this week and will begin learning about Pentecost and the Church’s birthday in May. Miss Summer is also putting together plans for our little ones to learn to play the boomwhackers, with plans to perform this summer!
