Oxfam Hunger Banquet

Oxfam Hunger Banquet

The Oxfam Hunger Banquet is a memorable, interactive event that brings hunger and poverty issues to life. After 40 years, this volunteer-led effort is still going strong—and has changed hundreds of thousands of lives.

Join us as our Youth Group creates for us our own Oxfam Hunger Banquet. Experience what hunger looks and feels like in India, or Peru, or Uganda without leaving El Dorado! We will also learn a little about local organizations that are dedicated to eradicating hunger here and around the globe…organizations that we can help support through our time and financial gifts.

We also invite you to bring peanut butter, canned meat (tuna, spam) and powdered milk along if you’d like. These items will be shipped to Haiti to benefit Jan Thompson and the Hopesters! Jan runs an orphanage in Gonaïves called Christopher’s Hope Ministries, and we do something every year to support her work. These protein packed items are some of the most needed food for Christopher’s Hope.
