Communion Offering

On the first Sunday of the month, we receive a special offering as part of the worship service during Holy Communion. This offering is designated for a particular cause to make a difference in the lives of others. This year you will have the opportunity to give in the following ways:

  • January – Human Relations Day
    • We extend a helping hand to those in crisis so they can overcome formidable obstacles.
  • February – Helping Hand
    • We provide assistance to meet the basic needs of El Dorado and Butler County residents.
  • March – UMCOR Sunday
    • We reach children, families and communities who have experienced devastation in the wake of disaster.
  • AprilEmberHope (Youthville)
    • EmberHope / Youthville is a United Methodist related non-profit that is committed to developing innovative programs that inspire change in at-risk youth and families.
  • May – Peace with Justice
    • We spread the gospel of peace and encourage cooperation locally, in the United States and globally.
  • June Native American Ministries
    • We empower local spiritual development and educate Native American seminary students to serve God faithfully.
  • July – Helping Hand
    • We provide assistance to meet the basic needs of El Dorado and Butler County residents.
  • August – SafeHouse
    • We help provide shelter for women and children who are in need.
  • September – Butler Community College Food Bank
    • We help address food insecurity for college students.
  • October – World Communion Sunday
    • We enable national and international graduate students to change the world.
  • November – United Methodist Student Day
    • We educate students so they can make a difference in the world.
  • December: Great Beginnings Blessing Tree
    • We seek to bless our neighbors during the holiday season.
